Laurel provides financial planning and wealth management services as a financial advisor with Baird. After doing some financial research for her family in 2007, she became passionate about educating others on how to achieve personal financial security. This prompted her to join the profession in 2011, as an advisor with Waddell and Reed. She joined Baird (previously Hilliard Lyons) in October 2013, and achieved her Certified Financial Planner® in July 2014. Her office is located in Louisville, Kentucky, where she serves clients in several states across the country. Laurel graduated from Xavier University in Cincinnati in 1992.
With “Strategize” as her Clifton Strengths No.1 strength, Laurel relishes opportunities to uncover "outside the box" solutions for her clients’ unique situations. As an example, she enjoys working with employees of public companies, as she enjoys guiding clients through the critical decisions investments such as pensions, stock purchase plans, stock units, or company stock within a 401(k) involve, and educating them on their associated retirement and tax planning aspects.
Outside the office, Laurel volunteers at the Cabbage Patch Settlement House, provides financial education to people in need, enjoys exploring family history, reading, and spending time with friends. Though Alaska is where she was born and spent her younger years, she considers herself a Louisville, KY native and currently lives in Louisville with her husband and family.
